Hey! I am an American girl currently living in Madrid, Spain. There is a very big gay population here...the people are very open minded and I think youŽd feel right at home. Of course there are also lots of opportunities to work on your Spanish! Also, it is easy to find a job teaching English (if you are a native speaker you normally donŽt even need a TEFL certificate)...or you could probably find work at a bar if that sounds more appealing. Think about it!

any advice on how to begin looking for a teaching job in Madrid (or elsewhere in Spain)? I'd really like to secure a job if at all possible before going. I speak Spanish fluently and have lots of experience working with kids, plus a great undergrad record so I think I'd be a good candidate. Id really appreciate advice...are there ways to contact particular schools or programs before going?? thanks!
